M&E Operational Coordinator

 

For the Martin’s Château du Lac hotel in Genval, we're looking for a M&E Operational Coordinator.
Martin's Château du Lac is a romantic Lorraine-style château built in 1906. Initially used as a spa, it later became Schweppes' bottling plant. In 1985, the Château du Lac de Genval became a charming 5-star hotel overlooking the lake.

About the job

The M&E Operational Coordinator contributes to the success of the meetings, conferences and events segment by managing the M&E operational cycle at Martin's Château du Lac. Reporting to the M&E Operational Manager, he/she is responsible for M&E follow-up. He/she ensures compliance with Martin's Hotels standards and good communication between guests and the hotel's various departments.

In addition, the M&E Operational Coordinator is responsible for :

  • Distribute functions
  • Welcoming customers
  • Communicate changes
  • Supervise staff according to departmental and hotel standards
  • Ensure that everything goes smoothly for guests

Responsabilities

Event planning and follow-up

  • Ensure that all customer requirements have been confirmed and that details have been communicated in a timely, accurate and complete manner to the relevant departments
  • Act as an advisor for the success of each event
  • Be the main point of contact for detailed planning of meetings/events, working closely with the following people and departments: Banquet Operations, F&B Management, Reservations, Rooms Division Operations, Finance and external suppliers
  • Ensure efficient and productive coordination and service delivery with suppliers
  • Maintain regular contact with the customer during meetings/events through the Daily Meetings Debrief, and ensure that all operational details are carried out correctly.
  • Ensure that customer feedback is communicated and acted upon internally. Manage the resolution of any issues with the customer within 48 hours.
  • Contribute, creatively and in collaboration with the M&E Manager and F&B Manager, to Meetings Product Development in order to continue to stand out by developing innovative products and revenue opportunities.

  • Excellent customer relationship management
  • Ability to work as part of a team and within a cross-functional organization
  • Strong IT skills (Office Suite, Opera)
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Good resistance to stress
  • Language skills: French - Dutch - English
