As part of the upcoming opening of our new wing “Gasthuis”, Martin’s Klooster in Leuven is looking for a Sous-Chef to join our brand-new fine dining restaurant and support the coordination of our gastronomic events.
Martin’s Klooster is a 4-star hotel located in a former 16th-century convent in the heart of historic Leuven. The new “Gasthuis” extension will house a refined restaurant offering a premium culinary experience in a stylish setting.

Job Description
The Sous-Chef works closely with the Head Chef to manage daily kitchen operations. He ensures that standards and quality are upheld in the Chef’s absence.
Main responsibilities:
- Mise en place before service
- Order and inventory management
- Active participation in cooking and plating during service
- Hygiene, safety, and quality assurance
- Supervising and guiding the kitchen team
- Co-managing weddings, receptions, corporate and private gastronomic events
Your Profile
- You are flexible, precise, motivated, creative and detail-oriented
- You have solid experience in a fine dining restaurant
- You are eager to grow within a high-level culinary environment
- You speak French and Dutch
