As part of the upcoming opening of our new wing “Gasthuis”, Martin’s Klooster in Leuven is looking for a Sous-Chef to join our brand-new fine dining restaurant and support the coordination of our gastronomic events.


Martin’s Klooster is a 4-star hotel located in a former 16th-century convent in the heart of historic Leuven. The new “Gasthuis” extension will house a refined restaurant offering a premium culinary experience in a stylish setting.

Job Description

The Sous-Chef works closely with the Head Chef to manage daily kitchen operations. He ensures that standards and quality are upheld in the Chef’s absence.
Main responsibilities:

  • Mise en place before service
  • Order and inventory management
  • Active participation in cooking and plating during service
  • Hygiene, safety, and quality assurance
  • Supervising and guiding the kitchen team
  • Co-managing weddings, receptions, corporate and private gastronomic events

Your Profile

 

  • You are flexible, precise, motivated, creative and detail-oriented
  • You have solid experience in a fine dining restaurant
  • You are eager to grow within a high-level culinary environment
  • You speak French and Dutch
