M&E Manager

For Martin’s Brussels EU hotel in Brussels, we're looking for a Meetings & Events Manager.

With 100 rooms equipped with the best amenities, Martin's Brussels EU ensures a pleasant stay in the heart of the European district. Our rooms offer a cocoon where guests can relax after a long day of work or exploring with a spacious bathroom, king size bed and even a whirlpool bath.

About the job

Administration

• Preparation of quotations;
• Follow-up and finalization of files and organization/staging of customers' events;
• Invoicing and after-sales service;
• Offer and follow-up of group rooms (+10 nights or rooms);
• Improving the offer and internal procedures in collaboration with the M&E Coordinator;
• Prepares menu cards for groups;
• Prepares signage;
• Follow-up on group reservations for the restaurant;
• Evaluates and trains colleagues and trainees;
• Establishes a budget in cooperation with the General Manager;
• Participation in Morning Meeting, Management Meeting and Budget Meeting (2 days)

Operational

• Initial contact with customers who show an interest in one of the services offered at Martin's Brussels EU and restaurant Bistro Martin;
• Shows the premises to potential customers;
• Checks the set-up of meeting rooms, coffee breaks, lunches and dinners on the basis of function sheets and adjusts if necessary;
• Greets the group leader, checks the day's schedule and provides further information on room equipment;
• Responsible for Shift Duty and weekends.

Your profile

• You are welcoming, friendly and proactive;
• You are a team player;
• You are flexible and take into account events and busy periods in the hotel in your personal organization.
• You speak French - Dutch - English;
• Knowledge of other languages is a plus;
• Knowledge of the Opera program is an asset;
• You have (first) similar experience.
