MARTIN’S HOTELS – Technician (M/F – Full-Time)

Main Location: Martin’s Klooster (Leuven) + Martin’s Patershof (Mechelen)

Martin’s Klooster, part of the Martin’s Hotels group, is a historic luxury hotel located along the banks of the Dyle River in Leuven. With elegant rooms, a cozy bar, meeting facilities, and modern amenities, Martin’s Klooster delivers exceptional service in a unique setting.
The technician will also occasionally support operations at Martin’s Patershof in Mechelen, a hotel housed in a former church with outstanding architectural character.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated and versatile full-time technician, working between Leuven and Mechelen.

Mission

Under the supervision of the Hotel General Manager and in close collaboration with the Technical Director for Flanders, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining and improving the infrastructure at Martin’s Klooster and Martin’s Patershof.

Responsibilities

• Daily follow-up and execution of technical interventions in the hotels

• Performing routine maintenance and basic repairs on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems

• Maintenance of HVAC systems, lighting, kitchen appliances, air conditioning, plumbing, painting, and carpentry work

• Particular focus on one day of painting per week

• Coordination with external service providers and technical partners

• Management of spare parts inventory and order follow-up

• Compliance with mandatory technical inspections in collaboration with the Technical Director

• Verification of proper execution of maintenance contracts

• Advising on investment projects and proposing optimal technical solutions

• Support for environmentally related initiatives and projects

• Reporting major technical issues to the Technical Director

• Support during renovation and new development projects

Your Profile

• Hands-on, technically skilled, and eager to learn

• Experience in a similar technical role, ideally in the hospitality industry or similar environment

• Solid knowledge of electricity, plumbing, HVAC, and general construction techniques

• Organized, structured, and detail-oriented working style

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Fluent in Dutch; knowledge of French and English is a plus

• Flexible and willing to work occasionally outside regular hours (weekends or evenings)

• Basic IT knowledge for administrative follow-up of technical records
